Miraflores
Miraflores is Lima's main tourist neighborhood and the best base for most first-time visitors. It sits on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, with a pleasant seafront promenade (the Malecón), good restaurants, and a wide range of hotels at all price points.
The neighborhood is safe, walkable, and well-connected to the rest of Lima. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are easy to find. The main shopping and restaurant area around Parque Kennedy is lively and tourist-friendly.
